Snow in March??

The last Sunday of Spring Break brought a HUGE surprise -- SNOW!! We were all wearing shorts earlier in the week, and a few days later. . . snow!

Our backyard

Looking out the front door. Can you believe all of the snow?
Jackson and I were actually down in Bristol for a family wedding Saturday night. We had to wait a while for the roads to clear before we could head home. Finally, we arrived home and played in the snow. It was dry snow, and was not as good for snowmen like the other snow that we had gotten earlier in the year. We still had fun playing in it though!

Jackson and Thomas had a fun snowball fight! Notice the blooms and leaves on the trees!

Ready, aim, fire!

Everyday Life

Here are some random pictures taken during Spring Break.
Lauren loves playing with the kitchen! (By the way, don't you love her leopard print shoes?? She loves them too!)

Lauren in Jackson's bed.

Both kids in Jackson's bed playing around.

Jackson annoying Lauren! (Siblings never do that, right?)

Spring Break at the Zoo

During Spring Break, I took the kids to the zoo. We had a picnic at the zoo, and then walked around the zoo and looked at the animals.

I was surprised at how interested Jackson was in the statues. The last time we went to the zoo, he wouldn't have anything to do with the statues!

Elephants!

I tried to capture Lauren with animals, but it just didn't work!

Jackson with the tortoise.

The butterfly bench

Jackson really loves Lauren. He can be so sweet with her.

Afternoon at the Park

We are really enjoying our neighborhood and all of our wonderful neighbors. A couple of weeks ago, we all ended up outside playing in the front yard and decided to go to the park, so four moms and eight kids headed to the park!

Jackson loves riding his bike!

Jackson on the swings.

Lauren didn't really like the swing too much, but she did love going down the slide!

Sesame Street Live

One of the parents at my school donated box seats to Sesame Street Live several weeks ago. My name was one of the names drawn to go! Jackson and I were excited! We had to leave a soccer game a little early and drive to Grand Prairie for the show. The box seats were awesome! We had a good time together. After the show, Jackson got to choose where he wanted to eat with me. Guess what he picked?? No, not McDonald's! He LOVES going to Pei Wei with me! We share honey seared chicken and he gets a milk. That is Jackson's favorite date place with mommy! :-)

I caved and got Jackson a spinning lite up thingy that we didn't really need, but what's a mother/son date without a little treat!?

Soccer Season

Soccer started up again this Spring. It was a VERY cold start to the season!! In the first game, Jackson scored 6 goals!! As you can imagine, Thomas and I were a little crazy on the sidelines! (After all, poor thing does have our genes! We know this athletic stardom will not last long!!)
