We celebrated Thanksgiving a little differently this year. This was the last year of the A&M vs. ut rivalry. Since this was our last Thanksgiving football game, we decided to do a Thanksgiving tailgate.

This is a tailgater. Isn't it cool?! Kaci's dad built it and gave it to Kaci, Jonathan and Kaci's sister. We are glad that they let us use it too!
This is Jonathan and Kaci's niece, Kennedy. Kennedy is 11 1/2 months. She is ADORABLE! My children love being around Kennedy. Lauren is attracted to her like a magnet. She loves being the "big kid" to baby Kennedy!

Jackson loves tailgating. He brought his light sabers (of course) to the tailgate. He challenged Uncle Jonathan to a duel.
For weeks, Jackson has been planning on surprising Uncle Jonathan with confetti eggs. He was able to surprise attack Uncle Jonathan!

We stopped by to see E. King Gill (the 12th Man). Yes, Lauren is holding his hand!! Jackson ended up taking a penny off of his foot (people put money on his foot for good luck). We saw him do this and told him about the tradition. Of course he put it back, but also ended up pulling some change out of his pocket to put on his foot too! Too sweet!

We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner at our tailgate. Lot's of friends and family joined us to celebrate. After eating, Mom took the kids back to the house. Dad, Thomas, Kaci, Jonathan and myself headed to the game. It was a weird experience going to the game. Do you know the feeling when you are watching a game, it is the fourth quarter, and it is close? You know how your heart races? Well, that is how I was feeling going to the game. I was really nervous because I really wanted the Aggies to win. My entire life has been about the Aggies and the Longhorns at Thanksgiving. So many Thanksgivings have revolved around this game. It was strange thinking about the tradition that has been around for over 115 years ending this Thanksgiving.
The first half went towards the Aggies, but in the last seconds, the Longhorns kicked a field goal and won the game. Such a heart breaker. I really wanted to win the last game, but it didn't work out that way. Oh well. We will look forward to the next season -- without the Longhorns.
