Wow! It has been a long time since I made a post! Life has been pretty busy at the Larriviere household with the end of the school year. Tonight is the first time I have sat down with the computer in a month I guess! In the past month, Lauren has been unofficially diagnosed with asthma. She is on major breathing treatments with two different types of medications to try to get everything under control (we were making weekly doctor visits for the same symptoms and she wasn't getting better). The medications make her jittery and the poor baby has a hard time sleeping. There are many of nights where we would be embarrassed if anyone knew how late she was up -- she just has a hard time settling down from all of the steroids. The interesting thing is that while she is wound up from a breathing treatment, she plays with my hands while I rock her. I mean PLAYS and grabs and pulls. She even gets a little aggressive with them. Interesting. Luckily, things are improving and we have been able to let up a little on the intensity. This has helped with her sleeping a little, and I am finally able to get on the computer again! I have so much to update (stories about the kids -- and my baby brother, Jonathan is ENGAGED!!!!!), but tonight is not the night!
Tomorrow morning, I am off for a big adventure! I am taking the two kids -- by myself -- to New Orleans to see Thomas' family (I know - I am either really brave, or really crazy!). We will be stopping in Houston to catch up with some of my girlfriends from high school first for a night. I know we will have a good time with family that we haven't see in 14 months. Say a little prayer for me that all goes well wrangling two small children for a week in a different location! Stay tuned. . .
