Jackson discovered that he can sit on one of his containers tonight. He thought it was so funny! I had to take a couple of pictures of him.

Sunday Crowd
On Sunday, I got up and drove back to Plano. I arrived home not long after Mama J and Papa J arrived to our house too. Jonathan picked them up from the airport, so we all gathered for lunch. Mama J and Papa J brought Jackson a stuffed buffalo and an antelope. He loved looking at the pictures of the animals that they saw on their trip. Here are some pictures Jackson learning about buffaloes and antelopes.

Girl's Weekend
I headed to College Station on Friday to meet up with Kim, Devin, and Rachel for a girl's weekend. Friday night, Jeffrey treated me to dinner. We had a nice time together. On Saturday, the girls met for breakfast at IHOP and then headed to a spa where the girls treated me with a message as an early graduation present. What a treat! Next we headed to Cafe Excell and of course we had to have a strawberry tart for dessert. Devin had to go home for Mommy duty after the late lunch. Rachel and I met Kim, Chris and Tanner for Wings before we headed to Northgate to finish off the evening. It was nice to see everyone.
Thomas and Jackson stayed behind in Plano. They had a fun weekend together. They went to the park for a short while before it rained and ran several errands. Jackson loves spending time with his daddy.

Honey and Poppa
It is funny how Jackson takes on to different things each day. Today Jackson noticed the picture of the Larriviere family that is next to the rocking chair. He grabbed it and exclaimed, "Honey!" He then kissed the picture several times! Then he noticed Poppa. He yelled, "Poppa!" and started kissing Poppa in the picture. I had to call Honey to tell her. Too fun!
The Aggie Obsession
Well, Mama J and Papa J did it. They have offically turned Jackson into an Aggie. He thinks every sports team is the Aggies. If he sees A&M stuff at Wal-Mart, he yells, "Aggies!". He demands to watch the "Aggie Baby" video (yes, there is one -- think Baby Einstein, but for Aggies). And now, he wants to sing the "saw" song where you sway! Too fun (for me at least!). Tonight we went to Barnes and Noble where we found an Aggie "My first counting" board book. Jackson LOVED it!! He kept saying, "saw, saw" while swaying! Of course we bought the overpriced book.
Here is a picture of Mama J and Papa J teaching Jackson to sway.
Father's Day
Happy Father's Day Thomas! We enjoyed spending the day with Thomas. Jackson and Thomas had plenty of time playing and cuddling together.

Bad hair day Jackson?

Saturday
Thomas got up at the crack of dawn this morning to take my parents to the airport. They are heading to one of the Dakotas for a conference that Dad attends every year. Of course their flight was canceled and they had to get another flight booked. Isn't that how it works? You get up at 4:30 AM to rush to the airport, and find out that you have to book a different flight for noon.
Thomas and I spent time with Jackson today. He played and slept a lot (I think his grandparents wore him out). Late this afternoon, we ran errands and took a stroll around the mall. It was a nice Saturday afternoon.

The Aquarium
Today, Mama J and I planned on taking Jackson to the zoo. He was so excited and kept saying, "zoo!". We got in the car and it started to sprinkle. The weather report said it was going to rain all day so we headed to the Dallas Aquarium instead. Jackson got to look at all of the "animals" at the aquarium. Mama J and I enjoyed looking at all of the sea creatures too!

Saw 'Em Off!
Papa J and Mama J taught Jackson the Aggie War Hymn today. Jackson kept requesting the song to be played on Papa J's computer. He loved swaying to "Saw Varsity's horns off. . . "

Changes
I DID IT! I finished Capstone AND I moved all of my stuff from the T.J. Lee Library to Town Center's library with the help from my mom and Grandma. I am exhausted but ready to spend some time with Jackson and Thomas! I am excited about my new job, but sad to leave behind so many wonderful friends and students. I have had a great experience at Lee. It is hard to believe that I began my career there, and it has been seven years since I started teaching.
The Water Table
We finally broke out the water table that we gave Jackson for his birthday. He loved it! He kept pushing the boats around while saying, "brrrrrrrr!"
Going to Grandma's
On Sunday, Thomas took Jackson down to Grandma's house in Bristol while I stayed home and worked on my Capstone assignments. They had a blast! Grandma cooked the boys a BIG lunch and then spent time with Jackson.

Moving On Up!
Jackson moved up to the Toddler I class today at daycare. He cried when Thomas dropped him off, which is not normal behavior for Jackson. We are excited that Jackson will get to go outside to the playground, go to music class and create art projects. I think he will have a lot of fun in this class. He will only get one nap a day from now on, and I am concerned about him getting enough sleep. Stay tuned. . .

This evening, Thomas, Jackson and I ran an errand to Wal-Mart. As we got ready to check-out, a check-out lady called us over to her register. She took one look at Jackson and started laughing and saying, "I know this cute little boy that smiles all of the time!" She carried on and on about how cute he is and how she remembered him from another visit. Jackson turned on the charm by winking and blowing kisses to her! Thomas vaguely remembered her from a visit before a couple of months ago and her reaction to Jackson. I can't believe that she remembered Jackson out of all the children that she sees!! Wal-Mart needs to keep this kind of attention to their customers up! More people would shop at Wal-Mart!

Aggie Baseball
Jackson went to College Station with Mama J and Papa J on Thursday. Papa J took Jackson to get his second haircut at the barbershop on Friday. He reported that Jackson cried just a little at the beginning and then sat like a big boy for the rest of the visit. Papa J and Mama J took Jackson to the Aggie baseball game Friday night. This was Jackson's third Aggie Baseball game, and he loved it!
On Friday, Thomas drove to College Station to join Jackson while I continued attending classes in Denton Thursday through Monday (including Saturday and Sunday). Thomas helped Jeff put new lights in the garage while Jackson went shopping with Mama J and Uncle Jeffrey. Saturday night Thomas took Jackson to the Aggie baseball game again. Jackson sat in Thomas' lap, clapped for the Aggies and participated in other Aggie traditions. Jackson also flirted with the ladies said, "hi" to each female he passed and winked at a couple of them. Uncle Jonathan trained him well!
