Stopping in the land of the Cajuns

We left for College Station on Friday after Thomas got off work. On Saturday, we loaded up the car, and I mean LOADED up the car to head to New Orleans for a visit with Thomas' sister Cody and her family.

We arrived in New Orleans and headed over to the Leger's for a fish fry and a dip in their beautiful new pool (and backyard). It was so nice to catch up with them and to see our nieces Sarah and Abigail. Jackson had a blast with them too.

Jackson learned a new game. . . throwing balls into the swimming pool for Uncle Nolan, Abigail and Daddy to get out over and over again. He had so much fun playing his new game!

Aunt Cody and Jackson.

On Sunday (Father's Day), Aunt Cody picked up Jackson to spend the day with them while we went to the French Quarter for the day. Jackson went to church with them, went to the park, and even had his first snowball (for us Texas folks, that is a shaved ice or snow cone)! Aunt Cody hooked the baby up with a chocolate snowball with cream. Jackson LOVED it! Sunday evening we all met up to have a Father's Day dinner. The weekend was a perfect start to our vacation.

(Aunt Cody, if you took pictures during your Sunday adventures with Jackson, please let me know!)
