The big moment finally arrived! It was time to take Jackson to see Santa Claus. All season, we have taken Jackson to the mall so that he could walk past Santa and look at him. The first couple of times, Jackson would just look at Santa and get excited. The moment that Santa looked at Jackson though, Jackson would turn his head against the stroller and only look at Santa out of the corner of his eye. Each visit, the degree that Jackson's head was turned got less and less. He was finally ready to see Santa. We talked it up all week. On Sunday morning, we got up, went to chruch and then headed over to the mall that we went to last year. We got in line. We stood for TWO HOURS.

Here's Jackson playing with some of the activities that they had for children to play with in line.

Jackson plays with the magna doodle.
Finally, it is our turn. My mother's instinct told me to take Jackson up to Santa, squat down with him and talk to Santa for a little bit. Everyone else told me to go up and just put him in Santa's lap. I did not follow my instinct. Here's Jackson's second picture with Santa.

As you can tell, he wasn't too happy!! I guess every child has to have a screaming picture with Santa!!
