Halloween Party

Our next door neighbors had a WONDERFUL Halloween party this year! Everyone got dressed up to go. Thomas and I struggled and struggled trying to figure out what we were going to dress up like. We finally figured out our costumes, and the night of the party, Lauren's asthma was acting up so much, that Thomas stayed home with her. So, neither Thomas nor Lauren go to go.
Jackson has so many dress up clothes, that for Halloween, he often changes his mind repeatedly on his costume. This year, he dressed up like a Zoo Keeper from the San Diego Zoo two times, and a Storm Trooper two times. Here is a picture of Jackson and myself ready to go to the party. Lauren just had to be in the picture too even though she wasn't dressed up.

All of the food was made around the Halloween theme. Mummy hotdogs, gobblins eyes, witch's fingers, bones, etc. It was fun!

Jackson and Avery. Jackson always says that he is going to marry Avery. When I ask him why, he tells me that she is really smart, she is pretty and he likes her house. Those sound like good reasons to me!

Krista (the mom next door) had two different art activities for the kids to do. They loved it!

One of the activities was biting an apple hanging on a string. This was so much fun! The kids loved it!

Jackson got it!

Krista also lead the kids in a storytelling event where they made certain sounds while she told a scary story with the lights out. When she finished, Jackson asked if he could tell a story. I honestly was a little nervous about him getting up and telling a story in front of several adults. When Jackson got up to the front, storyteller Jackson appeared! He told a great story with a beginning, middle and ending and even added dramatic techniques to it! Everyone was impressed!

What a fun evening!
