Last Friday, we received our Dallas zoo memberships in the mail. Thomas and I were excited! We decided to take Jackson to the zoo on Sunday. Jackson had so much fun looking at all of the animals. He kept saying, "animals" while pointing to the different creatures. One of the first animals that we stopped to look at were the gorillas. One gorilla was laying on its back while holding its foot in the air not too far from the viewing area. I stepped right up to the viewing glass while holding Jackson. Jackson was mesmerized! He started waving to the gorilla. The gorilla got up and moved RIGHT next to glass while looking at Jackson. Thanks goodness there was glass between us!! Neither Thomas nor myself had ever been that close to a gorilla before! It was within inches of us!!
Jackson loved looking at all of the animals and especially liked the elephant. He did not want to move past the elephants but it was time for us to go home. Jackson was WAY over due for his afternoon nap and was getting tired.
