Because of all of the wedding events surrounding my brother's wedding next weekend, the extended family decided to just stay home and have a calmer weekend before the big event next weekend. It was very different not having family around us on this holiday, but it was a nice low key event.
Sunday morning, the kids woke up to the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny brings the kids one toy, a basket of goodies and plastic eggs filled with candy ready to be hidden after church!
Jackson and Lauren ready to see what the Easter Bunny brought them!
Cutie pie!
The Easter Bunny brought Lauren a potty for her baby. Lauren loves her babies and plays with them all of the time!
Jackson decided this year that he should leave the Easter Bunny some carrots and water. He checked out the pieces that the Easter Bunny gnawed on and left behind!
Jackson was so pumped!! He has been wanting an electronic light saber. He is into all things Star Wars right now. The electronic light saber makes the sound of a real light saber and even has clashing sounds when it is hit against something!
Lauren tore right into the chocolate!! She would take a bite of one piece, set it aside and move to the next piece.
Then it was time for baths (we didn't get to them the previous night because of the crawfish boil). Lauren loves her towels!
Every time you get the camera out to take a picture of them together, they end up hugging each other.
Lauren's newest trick is giving "knuckles". One day, I went to pick her up from school. They were on the playground. A little boy ran across the playground shouting, "Lauren wait! Give me knuckles." My little girl with her big bow ran up to him and knocked knuckles with him and ran off! I was so funny to see her giving someone knuckles are dressed up cute!
Then it was time for the Easter Egg hunt! I took the eggs outside to hide them. Lauren started crying because she didn't know what I was doing with the eggs! She got into it really fast though.

This was the first year that Jackson was really into the egg hunt. He normally picks up 10 or so eggs and wants to quit.
Daddy with the bigger basket.
What a great Easter!
