Halloween

Today was Halloween. We had such a wonderful time with Jackson. He is at such a fun age! He had a Halloween party and parade at school this afternoon, and then we went trick-or-treating this evening.

After the Halloween party, we headed to get ice cream. Jackson remembered that we went to get ice cream after his last school function that both Mama J and myself went to. He asked us for ice cream, and we just couldn't break the tradition.

The bet was on. Would Jackson put on his costume? We had worked for weeks to get him to wear his costume. Jackson always said no and fought putting it on. He loved looking at it and saying, "Mick-Me Mouse" though. For Halloween, we basically distracted him and put it on. He wasn't too happy with us!


After we gave him his Elmo bucket and stepped outside, he was ready to go trick-or-treating.


Off we went. . .


Jackson knocked on the neighbor's door and said, "trick-or-treat". He was a little surprised about her putting candy in his bucket at first. He quickly caught on and was ready to move to the "next house". We went to several houses on our street. Jackson had so much fun! He kept telling everyone that he was "Mick Me Mouse".

Jackson got to eat a package of M&Ms. This was the first time that he really got to EAT candy and not just have a piece. He was in hog heaven!

After he finished his M&Ms, Jackson wanted a Hershey bar. He knew to take it to Mama J and she would let him have it.

Today, we stopped by Home Depot. We have worked with Jackson on Christmas with all of the decorations that are out. He got really excited about the Mickey Mouse snow globe that plays Christmas music. Mama J had to buy it for him!
