The Larrivieres: Christmas Eve 2011

Christmas was at our house this year! We were so excited to have everyone over, and this was the first Christmas that Lauren spent at home.

Thomas made the traditional sausage rolls that the Larriviere side always has every Christmas morning. We have continued the tradition for our Christmas morning as well, and they are a hit!

Jackson and I made gingerbread cookies. Uncle Jonathan and Uncle Jeffrey love gingerbread cookies, so we made them for the uncles.

We started the evening with Christmas Eve services and then headed to eat at a nice restaurant called Roy's. We chose Roy's because Dad had a lot of gift certificates from Outback, which is the same company that is owned by Roy's. We had a great time! Everyone had appetizers, drinks, and a meal. Then the check came out. They ended up turning down the gift certificates because they were from corporate, and since it was Christmas Eve, they could not call corporate to validate them! This will become a classic story because we had a great time at Roy's because we were using gift certificates, and then we didn't even get to use them!!

After eating out, we headed home to put on our Christmas pajamas. The siblings exchanged presents with each other and the kids.

Uncle Jeffrey gave Lauren rain boots to play in and to use if it snows.

Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Kaci gave Jackson baseball gloves and a tee for T-ball!

They gave Lauren a trunk of dress-up clothes! Lauren was in heaven!

Then it was time to get ready for Santa! The kids raced to the kitchen and started getting Santa's plate ready!

They carefully selected their favorite cookie for Santa and even remembered an Oreo ball! Jackson also gave Santa some grapes so that he can be healthier!! It was totally his idea!
