The next day at Custer State Park, we went on a jeep ride through the park.
Along the way to meet up with our jeep ride, we got to see several types of animals including antelope and deer.
We were very excited to drive up and see these big horn sheep two different days. So cool!

We were excited to get to see the bison! We got to go right up to them! Pretty cool!
The jeep ride took us off-loading to the highest point in the park. The kids loved off-loading and laughed the entire time!

After the jeep ride, we headed to tour the Needles. What incredible rock formations! One thing that we learned while in the park is that many of the trees are infected with a beetle that eats the tree from the inside out. It was really sad seeing the miles and miles of dead trees throughout South Dakota through Colorado.
The kids loved exploring the rock formations. It was a maze in nature that the kids could climb through.

This formation is called the "Needle's Eye".
We pulled over in this area for the kids to explore.
It is always an interesting experience getting my kids to pose for a picture. Here's Lauren dancing.
