I loved looking at all of the beautiful balconies.

This was one of the piazzas that we ended up going to every night. It was an active piazza and we loved going there!

This truly is a hole in the ceiling. It was designed to let the heat out. If the room is filled, and it rains outside, then the heat keeps the rain out! Too cool!
There are holes in the floor (Jackson's foot is pointing them out) to drain out the water if it rains.
After seeing the Pantheon, we headed to the Trevi Fountain. Jackson was really looking forward the Trevi Fountain.

And the toss! If you throw a coin over your shoulder into the Trevi Fountain, it means you are coming back to Rome!

After the Trevi Fountain, we headed to the Spanish Steps. There are A LOT of steps!
Jackson wanted to get water from the fountain at the Spanish Steps. (In Rome, all of the fountains have water from the aqueducts -- ask Jackson about them -- so the water is very safe to drink. Everyone fills up cups and bottles with the water straight from the fountains!)

After learning about the Spanish Steps, Jackson asked if we could climb them. Mama J, Papa J and Thomas all said, "no way". I said, "Come on!" and off we went!!

I was so glad that we did climb the steps together! It really wasn't that bad, and I'm glad for the memory.
