After visiting the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, we headed to the WWII memorial. I really wanted to see it. Unfortunately, it was closed to post Fourth of July clean up. I looked over the barrier and took some pictures.
Dad, Jackson, and myself then headed to the Roosevelt monument and left mom sitting at a picnic table (the blisters on the soles of her feet were getting bigger and we thought it was best for her not to walk too much). We made a big circle and visited the Roosevelt and the Jefferson monument and finally met up with mom at the Holocaust museum. Jackson slept most of the walk and missed the "wa-wa" at the Roosevelt. He would have loved it!
