Skinned Knee and Hockey

Mama J and Papa J are off to China today for almost three weeks. I am going to try to update this blog regularly so that they can have their "Jackson fix" while they are away. Have a safe trip Mama J and Papa J (Thomas and I had Chinese food tonight in your honor).

Today Jackson and I spent time together hanging out at the house. We read LOTS and LOTS of books. He kept bringing me books all day long! He crawls up in my lap and says, "read please". Of course I oblige. The child LOVES to read!!

We went to Thomas' work today and took him to lunch. It was nice to see him in the middle of the day.

This evening, we decided to go walk around the mall. Jackson was so excited about going bye-bye that he ran out to the car and fell down. Poor baby skinned his knee! This was the first time he has skinned his knee. He scrapped it up and it bleed a little. He was so brave and barely cried. Thomas put him in the car seat after a hug. The whole way to the mall, Jackson kept pinching his knee and saying, "Mommy. Knee. Ouch." (He is starting to put two and three words together this past week or two.) Once we got to the mall, he found comfort in watching hockey on the ice rink. He LOVES watching hockey. He kept requesting, "More. Hockey." Every store that we went in, he would tell the clerk, "hockey".
